Day 18: I'll take some dinner with that...

so yes today my teacher reached Genoa, finally after many delays and interruptions. now that she is here things are a little bit more tolerable, but the real work has begun. i actually have to read articles and i am responsible for a journal club on Monday (yeah) [sarcastic]. notice how the aforementioned words that were bolded indicate that i have to do work. :(

but ..in addition to a new workload being plunged on my shoulders, also the benefit of new places to see.

so in order to welcome Lice to Genoa properly we all went out to dinner at some posh restaurant. i mean posh, and the atmosphere was perfect.

with the dim lights, the perfectly mannered waiter. the service was so prompt i felt like they knew the food we were going to order, and the wine flowed like water.

and no this aint wine, but my dessert by the way, it was heaven!

we mostly discussed the safe topics of weather, and work, and then the hot topic of politics came up. some people are left, some are right, some are center. all i know is that with all these directions i do not want to be down with any of them.
