Day 17: Oggi non è stata entusiasmante

...Ho trovato lavoro..then, ho guardato National Geographic sul mio computer. Mangiato il pranzo con il mio maestro e amici.
Poi dopo sono andato in dormitorio, and non ha fatto nulla.

Day 16: The Biggest Aquarium in Europe...

...is right here in Genoa, so i went to visit the Fishhyssss!!

i officially am getting a mean fish tank when i get back!
anywho....i went to the Aquarium of Genoa, NICE!

i heart little delfini (dolphins), and penguins, and sea horses, and my favorite are the jelly fish!!!
...but what i have never seen before is an exhibit where the staff actually is part of the demonstration, just watch the video to see what i mean...

...i guess jelly fish don't sting after all??? or maybe these are domesticated jelly fish??? maybe they can even use the toilet, lol.

peep my favorite exhibit, i think i loved the expression of the little kiddie's faces the most!!

at the end that kid had a little ciao spazz attack!!

ciao.

Day 15: Cogoleto Beach and "French Fry"

Today i was a French Fry, hehe. Nah i wasn't a french embalming fluid drenched fried potato, but i hung with all the French people from my dorm, who are all departing this week. frown. So we all went to Cogoleto beach because once more the temperature is well above 90 degrees farenheit, but i am not so sure because everything here is in kilometers, and Celcius, and i didnt pay that much attention when we were learning conversions. hehe.

...all i know is that i needed this and i definitely missed a spot, and got burned on my butt, yes of all the places my butt!! So we took the train to Cogoleto, and we saw some Genovian grafitti, and ...
we thought that this bush land was our stop but we were wrong, of course how could the beach be here????

Then we mossied our way down the "smellow brick road" to the part of the beach that was NOT private. And as you can see a little game of "footsy" was being played on the far left side...hmmmm...then we saw soo many meats, (no not what you are thinking) and cheeses, out in this hot ass weather, and people still bought them!!!! i thought them joints was supposed to be refrigerated, what gives????

hehe, this meat is called viagra, how redundant!! haha.

Enjoy the flicks...

watch me turn ten shades darker... and them turn ten shades...redder, ooppps!!!

gelatos flow like honey here is genoa, and i am more than happy to welcome it :)
then when we got back to the dorm, and washed the salt off of ourselves, and our hair, i realized that i was starving and we all headed to the local pizzeria for din-din.

to my surprise the fantas here are actually not orange. the can acutally states that it is without artificial coloring, SO WHAT THE FOOK ARE THEY TRYNA POISON US WITH IN AMERICA!!

oh yeah this is our Italian friend "M" who can juggle rocks, what a supurb talent, with "B" walking right in the view, lol.

ciao.

Day 14: Talking Italian Parrot

Well on this lustrious day of wonder, i was offered to eat dinner with Manuelito and his friends in his wonderful abode. Oh how exciting it was to be amongst such beautiful company.
My favorite part of the night was the cold pasta that Manu prepared, it was delightful. The gelato with ananas, and the creme cake, made my belly very happy.
Manuelito who was such a wonderful host.

Then he had this mechanical talking Italian parrot, that shouted out little ubsurdities, that i did not quite understand, but were funny nonetheless. And me and my gemelli decided to take a picture with it, after harrassing it and recording little phrases, and then pressing every button possible, haha. Then after experimenting with car-pooling we ended up hanging out with all the cool kids of Genoa, and also the hippies, and old "still tryna be young" people. haha
We also went to our favorite pub, to chill with our favorite bar maiden Francesca, who wanted to show off her hand-drawn pseudo tattoo of some gremlin like character called JACK. seems like a pretty harmless name for a Gremlin, but was quite friendly.

ciao.bueno sera.

Day 13: Oggi non ha fatto nulla

...today i analyzed some more data, after another experiment...
what fun :/

and went looking for the Italian VOGUE, once more. A little frustrated because they only carry Italian VOGUE magazines in two locations in all of genova. And then after taking the metro, and the bus in the sweltering heat, i found out that they only have the June edition. BOOO!! How thehell can Italy not have Italian VOGUE, what the fook!

so i am not really surprised since there is someone of a darker hue on the cover, we'll see what happens...

a disappointed ciao.

Day 12: Gemelli

So today i will blog about food, just because Sammy says i always do, so Sammy this is one is for you...

Today i had some Italian "Sour Power" wanna-be's, but they were just a little off, even the packaging....
Then i ate some pizza for dinner at the Bigo Cafe,it was quite lovely watching the sun set, and enjoying all the roasted peppers on my lovely meal,

but the wait is always the most uninteresting part...
Then i went out that night with a bunch of new friends. They are the friends of a colleague of mine, named Clara, and they were quite nice :)

and if you look closely Manu is getting molested, haha, sawii this is an inside joke in reference to out friend MIKE in NY :)

"They say," that i actually have an Italian twin named "Cugi," who looks like an Italian version of me, and we are the same age :) And have the same taste in clothes, and she is studying language so she speaks almost prefect english. OH JOY! Can you see the resemblance???

Then we went to see Genovian night life, and scaddaled over to an outdoor "disco pub," ironically across the street from my dorm. It was nice because the pub was actually a floating club, on the water (hence the floating)...so while you gyrate your hips, the club gyrated as well, haha....no pictures of the club i was having too much fun, but this is a flick on the dock on the way to it...
i guess instead of making a proper shrine, when their homie passes on, they just tie some brocolli to an old shirt???

then that morning i was dropped off, and stumbled into my bed, and fell asleep fully clothed, haha "ho ricevuto così ubriaco"... fun times :)

ciao.

Day 11: Camogli Beach Trip

my field trip was a success :) so i rounded up all the people for my little adventure to the beach in this 100 degree weather. we met in the kitchen that afternoon at 1: 30 p.m., but of course no matter where you are from CP time took over, and we ended leaving a 2: 22 p.m.

"B" from france decided to bring out his shiny cap, because the occasion called for such attire :)
Then after much deligation about what train to catch, where to go, and for how long we finally made tracks to Principe Train Station...
Then while on the train our bonding process began, even though we are all from China, India, Columbia, France, and of course NYC (BIG UP!!)

You can peep the festivities while we were in the empty water, there was practically no one in it....

perhaps because the sea bottom was lined with this...

yes these hot ass rocks, that hurt like hell if you stepped the wrong way in the water. but i must say my feet are a lot smoother for it...

B agrees with me...

Then Lee wanted to work on his tan since he was a little deficient in the swimming department...

yeah yo... check the view...

after all was said and done i think we indeed bonded :) and we headed back "home."

ciao.
